Anxiety is often what people feel when they are nervous, worried or afraid. It is common to experience anxiety when we have stressful events in our life. Each of us will feel anxious at some point in our lives. Anxiety can change the way we think, the way we act, the way we feel and the physical sensations that we notice in our body.

We may think that we can’t cope, our thoughts can seem to race through our minds, we can begin to worry about worry itself and we can spend a lot of time thinking about the ‘bad’ things that might happen. We can start to feel a range of physical sensations such as feeling hot, feeling sick, tingling in your hands and feet and faster breathing.
